I have a lot of stuff to share with you this week, I really do. There’s SO MUCH awesome out there right now in relation to body image and learning to love yourself deeply on all levels. But none of it compares to how inspiring I find this post, written by Margaret Cho. There is magnificent power there. Power that I hope we all learn to tap into. Power to not only protect ourselves and our sisters, but power to change things. As Margaret said in her tweet, she “can make the world stop turning with her words.” And so can you.
So this week, just focus on this one beautiful, magnificently powerful entry. And find that power in yourself.
Thank you Margaret. And, for the record, I find you beautiful inside and out.

~Stuff I pinned on my TIAW, Wisdom, and Stuff That’s Wrong boards.
~A great article from a woman who identifies as asexual.
~It took me awhile to get around to reading this article b/c I feel like, if I’m going to speak against the BMI, I should hold that consistent and not assume that just because a woman falls into the “anorexic” range on the chart means she IS anorexic – for all I know she’s just petite and as unfairly treated as women with a lot of muscle mass who are labeled as “obese”. BUT! I finally read the article, and I think it’s far more about widening the diversity among models and plus-sized models, and providing clothes to a diverse consumer market than it is about models being anorexic or not.
~One mom’s response when her daughter calls herself fat. I’M VERKLEMPT.
~I’m buying these. (Seen on Chookooloonks.)
~“We want to promote a more socially responsible approach to exercise where people are more interested in gaining strength or muscle mass, working on form or learning a new skill instead of focusing on a number on a scale.” AMEN TO THAT. I haven’t owned a scale in years. How about you?
