In celebration of the birth of this website, I’m having the first TIAW giveaway! I’m so excited to offer you a signed copy of Karen Walrond’s new book, The Beauty of Different. I’ve been working with Karen on BlogHer’s Own Your Beauty since autumn and I find her to be so inspiring and wise. Her book reflects that quality, and its message goes hand in hand with what I want to work towards with this website – broadening our culture’s definition and perception of beauty.
So – how to enter? There are two ways. First you can submit an entry. It can reflect any aspect of womanhood or body image, any unusual (or usual) struggles you’ve faced, any health problems you think other women need to feel supported in, any joys you’ve found in your body or how far you’ve traveled on the path to a positive body image. Just be you, your story will help change the world. (Those who have already submitted their entries will be automatically entered unless you’d prefer not to. In that case, please shoot me an email and let me know.)
The second way to enter is by blogging about the site on your own blog and then leaving the link in the comments below. If you want an image for your entry, you can use one of these. If you don’t have a blog you can share the link via Facebook or Twitter – just leave a comment below so I know you’ve done it.
