~How to not hate being photographed. I instinctively went through a relatively obsessive self-portrait phase and I can promise you, it really is a powerful way to learn to see yourself as beautiful no matter what. Try it.
~Raising confidant daughters. Some good advice in there for all of us, not only the mothers.
And you know what? I had more links for you here today. But then WordPress didn’t bother to tell me my session expired and it therefore didn’t save ANY OF IT. I was already having a shitty morning and now I’m stabby on top of it. I’ll give you a whole other Weekly Awesome later this week when I’m less stabby.
Hope you are having an un-stabby day.

~I’ve been a fan of Melissa McCarthy for years now and I’ll admit that it irks me that she’s only getting attention recently after having played an awkward character (in other words, the only kind of fat character that EVER gets any attention) but I LOVE what my friend Rainbow has written here about McCarthy’s character on Gilmore Girls. LOVE.
~I am so glad I read this and can remember it if and when a boy is ever mean to my daughter in the name of a crush. This is so important. How important? See my next link.
~25 Extremely Upsetting Reactions To Chris Brown At The Grammys. As my friend Kristen posted, “Stupid” doesn’t cover it. “Extremely Upsetting” is an understatement. You know what? Don’t even click the link. It’s just 25 screenshots of tweets from women and girls saying that Chris Brown could beat them if he wants. “Profound hopelessness” is closer to the mark.
~That wasn’t very awesome. But this kind of is. A whole post devoted to unconventionally-beautiful teeth. My favorite smiles are the unconventional ones. Like Eve Myles (Torchwood). I’m totally crushing on her teeth. (Is that creepy?)
That’s all I’ve got this week because it’s been really busy. But I have awesome things planned for this website this year and I’m getting excited about them. Have a good week, my friends!

~Fat Shaming is bad. (So is any kind of shaming.) You can’t judge a person by their size. You just can’t.
~Who cares what size Marilyn Monroe was? I’ll go one step further and ask: “Who cares what size any of us are, as long as we look and feel good?”
~I happen to love pubic hair. I don’t find it unfeminine in the least, and I like it on men, too.
